International Screen Composers Leadership Summit

On 13 and 14 February, the Screen Composers Guild of Canada (SCGC) and GEMA brought together international film music experts alongside the Berlinale. Discussions centred on artificial intelligence in film music, authors’ rights and much more.

In their presentation on music reporting and distribution, Jens Kindermann and Marc Grittke explained how GEMA ensures that film composers are paid. The Music Recognition Technology SoundAware is also open to other CMOs and media companies.
